John Armentano swam for Chaminade High School swim team from 1988 through 1992. During the summers of those years he swam for Half Hollow Hills. John was captain of the Chaminade swim team in 1992 and passed the Jones Beach Lifeguard test later that year. John went on to the Collage of the Holy Cross and swam for the men’s team from 1992 through 1996. He was captain of the team his last year.
In 1992 John started at the West Bathhouse Pool and in 1993, he made it to the beach a Robert Moses Field 3. John went on to work the at Robert Moses Field 2 for several years where he learned to surf and met his wife, Keri.
In 1997, John switch over to a “weekender” and worked at Robert Moses until 2001. In 2001, he went to law school at night and worked at the Nassau County Planning Commission as a municipal planner.
After graduating law school, John continued to work as a weekender at Jones Beach Field 1 until 2007.
Currently, John Armentano is a partner at the law firm of Farrell Fritz, P.C. and resides in Saint James, New York, with his wife, Keri and their children: Maria, Connie, Rose and Johnny.
